What is Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation?
Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) is legislation that impacts the majority of Canadian organizations and comes into force on July 1, 2014. The law is intended to address the negative impact of electronic spam and other electronic threats to commerce such as identity theft, phishing, spyware, and malware. It also catches many legitimate electronic communications sent by email, text, SMS, and social media.
